Welded composite counterweights for 10–60 tonne forklifts. Built to your drawing, weighed before shipment.
These are counterweights we build today, so you can check the figures against your own truck.
| Forklift rated capacity | Counterweight weight |
|---|---|
| 10 t | 4,900 kg |
| 28 t | 13,000 kg |
Do not size a heavy counterweight from a catalogue range — the mounting envelope and the truck's centre of gravity are what fix the weight. Send us the truck brand and model, or your drawing, and we will confirm the exact weight before quoting. If you have no drawing at all, that is still enough to start.
For parts at this size, welded box construction is the only practical route — a casting this large is limited by pattern, flask and furnace, and any design change means remaking the pattern.
| Truck Class | Forklifts from 10 t to 60 t rated capacity |
|---|---|
| Material | Q355B (S355JR) Steel Plate — welded box construction, filled with compacted steel sand at 4.8 t/m³ |
| Weight Tolerance | ±1% of specified weight, confirmed by weighing before the cover plate is welded on |
| Manufacturing | CNC laser cutting → press brake forming → MIG welding → steel sand filling → weighing → cover plate welding → machining → surface finishing |
| Surface Treatment | Shot blasting + anti-rust primer + high-durability enamel paint. Custom RAL colors and logos available. |
| Mounting | Bolt-on with reinforced mounting bosses, machined to your drawing |
| Integrated Features | Exhaust clearance, tow pin bosses, lifting points, cooling clearances — machined per truck model or drawing |
| Standards | ISO 9001:2015, material cert per GB/T 1591 Q355B (S355JR) |
| Packaging | Heavy-duty wooden crate with VCI rust protection, braced for the part's weight |
| MOQ | 1 unit (sample), 5+ units (production batch) |
| Lead Time | 45 days depending on quantity and customization |
| Customization | OEM/ODM: custom weight, dimensions, color, logo, and mounting arrangement |
Heavy counterweights are where cast-to-welded conversion pays back the most — the bigger the casting, the bigger the pattern, the flask and the furnace it ties up.
Send us the existing casting drawing or a sample and our engineers will return a welded-fabrication proposal within 24 hours. Full detail on cast-to-welded conversion.
A 28-tonne counterweight fitted to the truck, and a 60-tonne unit from the drawing above — seen from below as well, so the ribbing and the base plate are both visible.

On a part this size the drawing does most of the work. The more you send, the faster and more accurate your quotation will be.
No drawings? Send us photos or the forklift brand and model — our engineers will work from that and send a technical review within 24 hours.
Our 10-tonne forklift counterweight is 4,900 kg, and a 28-tonne forklift takes a 13,000 kg counterweight. Send us the truck model or your drawing and we will confirm the exact figure before quoting.
There is no fixed ceiling. Welded fabrication is not limited by pattern, flask or furnace size the way a casting is, so the real constraint is how the finished part will be lifted and shipped rather than what we can build. Our current heavy work includes a counterweight for a 60-tonne forklift.
Yes, and on large parts it is usually the most valuable thing we do. Send us the existing casting drawing or a physical sample and we will re-engineer it as a welded box filled with compacted steel sand. You avoid pattern tooling entirely, MOQ drops to 1 unit, and design changes are handled by re-issuing the drawing rather than cutting a new pattern.
The hollow box is filled with compacted steel sand at 4.8 t/m³ and the unit is weighed before the cover plate is welded on, so the final weight is confirmed rather than estimated. Standard tolerance is ±1% of specified weight.
Yes. Send the mounting dimensions, a drawing (PDF/DWG/DXF) or a 3D model (STEP/IGES) and we will machine the mounting bosses, bolt holes and any clearances for exhaust, tow pin or cooling to suit. If you only have the truck brand and model, we can work from that.
We reply by email within 24 hours with a technical review and quotation. Attach drawings or photos directly in the email.
